Gordon Ramsey has hit back at rumours he has had a reaction to a hair transplant. The shouty chef was pictured earlier this month with a very puffy face and rumour started that it was swelling from having a hair transplant after he was also pictured leaving a Los Angeles surgery with a medical cap on his head.
He claims the puffiness was down to an allergic reaction from a horse and also rather bizarrely the result of having petrol poured all over him in a gangster attack!
Ramsey says he was filming in Costa Rica for Channel 4’s new Big Fish Fight series and was investigating the illegal shark fin trade which led to a confrontation with heavily armed gangsters who doused the chef in petrol, which he got a horrific infection from.
Ramsey also said “I was in Napa for Christmas literally two weeks after the shoot and went horseback riding with the kids and had a horrendous allergic reaction to the horse, combined with the problems I had with my scalp – so it was just a hair nightmare.”
Who knows what the real reason is but I do hope that the pressures of TV and being on camera all day aren’t playing with Gordon’s head too much!
