One of the best new DVD releases in the last few weeks has been the newest Adam Sandler movie, Grown Ups, which has an all star cast including Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and David Spade. The story is about a group of five childhood friends who reunited for the first time in 30 years to attend the funeral of their youth basketball coach over the fourth of July weekend.
It is a brilliantly acted film that has a touching storyline behind all the slapstick and comedy and with some of the biggest names in comedy all coming together in one movie it is guaranteed to raise a giggle in almost everyone who watches it. Being rated a 12 it is also a great film to get all of the family around to watch and who knows some parts of the film might even help bring you closer together.
Also it looks as if Play.com’s DVD Bargains page currently has the Shameless: Series 1-7 Box Set at a good price of £39.99, £60 cheaper than its normal price. The new series of Shameless has been on for a couple weeks now and it is shaping up to be a very good series indeed. I wrote about the series starting again (Shameless Is Back) and since then the episodes just keep getting better and better. Always worth catching up on old series if you can so the box set sounds like the perfect thing to keep away the boring and long January nights.
